The Qatar Aeronautical Academy in cooperation with the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) will host – for the first time in the Middle East – the activities of the ICAO 5th Global Aviation Training and Trainer Plus Symposium from 10-12 December, under the auspices of the Ministry of Transport and Communications. The forum attracts more than 500 participants and representative members of the “Trainer Plus” program, shareholders and academic institutions. The Symposium aims to learn new features and advantages in future programs, develop new job opportunities, and improve training organizations and products.
The Symposium is a platform to meet ICAO member states and other training organizations, and an opportunity to conclude new partnerships in aviation training, and to increase member states ’awareness and knowledge of basic short or long-term priorities, to enhance global air transport capabilities.
HE Sheikh Jaber bin Hamad Al Thani, Director General of the Qatar Aeronautical Academy pointed out that hosting the Symposium in Qatar comes with the support of the Ministry of Transport and Communications responsible for a number of giant infrastructure projects in the land, maritime and air transport sector, which have a positive impact on society and the business environment in Qatar. The Director General of the Academy stated that the Symposium aims this year to discover ways to expand the administrative methods and techniques for the leaders of the training centers, to be able to practice effective decision-making, which will enhance the operations of these centers, and ensure that they are based on training plans aimed at meeting their needs. Speakers in the Symposium will address some challenges, solutions and tools that help organizations to promote and lead the effective change processes and procedures of these departments.
